Join the Association
What do dues support? The annual dues that we collect from each brother are an integral part of keeping our association strong. Besides your dedication, involvement, participation, and ideas, your monetary contributions allow us to keep the Alumni Association thriving and strong in our activities and on our roster. Dues are used for items such as flowers for Mills Music Missions, scholarships and commissions, support of Collegiate chapters in Province 37, the annual Phi Mu Alpha reception at Midwest Band & Orchestra Clinic, paper and postage for mailings, the maintenance of this website, and to offset the costs of food or drink for Association business and social events. All expenditures are approved by the voting membership, and are put to the best of use.
How much, and how often? Dues are $25.00 and are to be paid on the 1st of January or the 1st of July, depending on the time time of your joining, and are good for a year from the date of payment.
How can I pay? There are several options.
- Bring a check or cash to an upcoming event. Make checks payable to the Chicago Area Alumni Association.
- Mail a check ($25) to the treasurer; get contact information by emailing Jonathan Nicolosi at email@example.com.
- Send money via PayPal. Send payment to firstname.lastname@example.org. If paying through your checking account, pay $25. If paying by credit or debit card, please add a $1 service charge ($26). Send as a "friends and family" payment.
While it is not a requirement to pay dues to participate in Alumni Association meetings and activities, we strongly encourage all Alumni brothers in the Chicagoland area to become a dues-paying member. Among the reasons listed above, dues enable you to become a voting member of the Association, hold office, and support the betterment and work of the Alumni Association, Collegiate chapters, and the Fraternity, as a whole. If it is a hardship to make a lump payment, we are happy to make accommodations with a payment plan.
Please consider becoming a dues paying member to help us further the work of Phi Mu Alpha and the Chicago Area Alumni Association.
